Our Story
Who We Are
Hi, we’re Kate and Joanna, a mother and daughter-in-law duo
from regional NSW and the hands behind Poppy Faye Store.
Our days are filled with a love for animals, gardening and being surrounded by nature.
How It Started
Poppy Faye Store began when my (Kate) daughter, Poppy Faye, was born.
What started as handmade clothing, bibs and blankets just for her quickly grew into
a shared passion and eventually, a family business.
What We Make
Our aprons begin with a sketch, a story and a whole lot of heart. We handcraft our
pieces with durable fabrics, playful prints and a finish that stands up to busy little hands.
From kitchen baking to messy play activities our aprons and accessories are made to keep
kids comfortable, creative and mess-ready.
Growing With Poppy
As Poppy grew and her play became messier, we designed a waterproof, durable, easy-to-clean apron to protect her favourite outfits.
It quickly became our bestseller, soon followed by an adult version inspired by my (Kate) nan’s apron.
From Small Beginnings
We started with Instagram and Etsy, making bibs, blankets and a few outfits from limited fabric on hand.
We’re incredibly proud of how far we’ve come. We now offer a wide range of prints and sizes, with many items ready to ship and custom orders (often made after bedtime!).
Our Creative Community
Craft, learning and nature have always been woven into our days. Sharing Poppy’s activities with a close friend across the country sparked even more apron designs and helped us realise just how many families needed them too.
Looking Ahead
After years of juggling work and family life, we’re now pouring our whole hearts into growing Poppy Faye Store.
Our dream is for this little business to support us through Poppy’s school years and one day bring three generations together at the sewing table.
